- Dave Pickering is the RI Chairman of the Carp Anglers Group, a national group of carp fishermen. He fishes extensively for carp all over RI as well as nearby Massachusetts. He has landed thousands of carp and catches upwards of 750 carp a year. He holds the CAG and unofficial record for common carp in RI at 36 lbs. He also holds the RI CAG mirror record at 25 lbs. He is also a member of the New England Outdoor Writers' Association and has written about carp fishing in many national and regional magazines. He also conducts seminars on carp fishing in New England.
